This is the continuation of the O.W.Ls Readathon Year 3 where the prompts are harder. Normally the readathon spans the month of August but this year, it will be an unlimited timeline. However, knowing myself, I shall be sticking to doing it within the month as much as I can.
Thanks to JK Rowling’s actions, this readathon shall be changing to be far less Harry Potter focused next year (more explanation at the end of the video). I’ll be completing the N.E.W.Ts and taking part in the Magical Readathon again next year.
The prompts are here and the careers guide is here.
For the O.W.Ls readathon, I went for Wandmaker and managed to get all the prompts done (just!). I need an O in Herbology, E in Care of Magical Creatures and an A in Charms.
Since I also wanted to do the Animagus Training, I also need an A in Arithmancy, E in Potions and an O in Transfiguration. I’m not quite sure why I did this to myself but I’m invested now.

This is one of those readathons which I would always join in on if I could. It is incredibly detailed, G puts a lot of effort into the careers booklet, as well as the book prompts. The Careers Guide is here and the prompts are here. There is even a whole website dedicated to it as well and that is here.
Last year I went for an Alchemist and it was fun, but this time I decided to dial it down and not stretch myself. The last two months I have read eleven books so I thought it I went for something which had five or six prompts, that would be doable. I was really torn between Trader of Magical Tomes and Wandmaker so I looked at the prompts and went with Wandmaker!

This is quite a sad post because this is the last week of this readathon! Well, not really because it will be open to do again and again but this is the first run through.
This is Week 4’s wrap up, as well as Week 5’s TBR.

Week 3 went alright, though I changed my TBR at the last minute when I got approved for an ARC and I wanted to try and get through some of my ARCs before 2020 starts. I read it at the last minute, as usual, but I managed to finish before starting Week 4.
I am very excited about Week 4 but wow, I’m going to be disappointed when this readathon finishes. I could probably do it again and make different choices but the first time is always the best.

This is the second part of Week 2 of the winter/seasonal readathon in the same kind of area as the O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts readathons. Week by week there are a series of choices on the website which give you your prompt(s) for the week. It is very much a ‘choose your own timing’ kind of readathon, so someone could start now and go through the whole readathon, but I’m doing it along with most other people.
This is an edited version of the post I did before because I didn’t realise that my new prompt is still part of Week 2. Here I was wondering why I only got one prompt for each week and wondered why they were talking about the Deathday party on Twitter and then I double checked.
Ah well, my TBR still stands!

This is the second week of the winter/seasonal readathon in the same kind of area as the O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts readathons. Week by week there are a series of choices on the website which give you your prompt(s) for the week.
This is the wrap up for Week 1, as well as what book I want to read for Week 2. This readathon is very much a choose-your-own-timing kind of readathon, but I like doing it week by week.

This is another readathon in the N.E.W.Ts and O.W.Ls readathon series. This is a winter readathon which starts the 1st December. The website for this (and other) readathon is here.
The readathon is based around Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and each week a new chapter arrives on the website and there are multiple choices through each scenario which will lead you to one to three reading prompts for that week.
I absolutely love the idea of this readathon and I am very excited to go through it for the month of December. For the prompt I received and my TBR, please open the cut!

Okay, I had such a great time for this readathon. I love Harry Potter readathons but I also love this readathon because the Twitter was so involved. All links on my TBR post here. This wrap-up post took a while to write because wow, the format drove me up the wall. Maybe next time I’ll do a split wrap up post.
My TBR went all over the place for this readathon but I got several books on my TBR read and several others were impulse reads.
How did everyone else do on this readathon?

I’m so excited for this readathon! I love these Harry Potter readathons, especially since so much thought goes into each one. The Twitter for this readathon is here and the challenges are here.
Before my O.W.Ls, I chose the alchemist as my career, partly because I was in a reading mood but also because Nicholas Flamel? Who wouldn’t want to be an alchemist? There were loads of careers I was interested in.

This is an amazingly detailed readathon based around Harry Potter, more specifically, the fifth year exams. There was also a booklet of careers where you could see which exams (reading prompts) you would have to do to get your dream career. And of course, I decided to go for the hardest career and see how it would turn out.
My TBR is here. I went for Alchemist and I actually managed to succeed in reading enough books to fit the prompts.
