Ages ago I did a Summer TBR (here it is) and I thought that, rather than forgetting about it as I usually do, I would come back and see what books I read from that TBR. Mostly because I’m about to post my Autumn TBR and I thought that would be a nice sort-of deadline for my TBR.

Well, this was supposed to be a Top Ten Tuesday topic but I didn’t get this out on time so it’s just going to be a separate post otherwise half the summer will be gone! In summer, I reach for contemporaries, as most people do I’m sure, but I also reach for mysteries and thrillers. Agatha Christie is a go-to for me, but I have a few books I picked up to get to.
There’s going to be ten books on this TBR because it’s a sensible number for a three month TBR for me… no, it’s not. I like the numbers five and ten and that’s the only reason.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme. It used to be hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but now it is being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is ‘books to read by the pool/at the beach’ but I definitely preferred the summer TBR interpretation. I think everyone knows how much I love TBRs so this shouldn’t be a surprise!
I don’t tend to associate genres with seasons but if I had to pick one for summer, it would probably be contemporary/urban fantasy. Anything set in the present time, though a few historical fiction books snuck on here as well!
