Tome Topple Round 12 Wrap Up

This readathon went about as well as I had expected while doing another reading challenge at the same time. I did manage to finish some tomes but I absolutely didn’t stick to my TBR and I definitely didn’t complete all the challenges. So I’m posting this wrap up to be complete but I did about as well for this Tome Topple as I did for the one in February. If I’m doing a reading challenge where I have to read a lot of books, I won’t be doing Tome Topple again! This round went from the 8th to the 21st August.

Did anyone else do this round’s Tome Topple?

Tome Topple Round 12

The last round of Tome Topple until November! There has been quite a few this year thanks to the lockdown. This round goes from the 8th August until the 21st and, so far, I have never got the dates right.

The twitter is here.

  • The tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • A tome audiobook
  • The tome you’ve most recently acquired
  • A standalone tome
  • Read 1 tome
  • A tome written by a Black author
  • Tome from a genre you don’t usually read
  • The tome on your TBR with the most pages
  • A tome you started during another round of Tome Topple

Again, you can get a title if you read enough books for the categories.

Tome Topple Round 11 Wrap Up

This readathon is one that focuses on books over 500 pages and it ran from the 9th to the 22nd May. I had such trouble with the last round but this one went much better. Well, I finished two tomes but I talk about four books in this because I started all of them in this readathon. I didn’t do all the prompts but I managed a fair few. My TBR is here.

This wrap up is very late but I’m trying to be better with closing out readathons I’ve done. Now I just need to get them on time!

Tome Topple Round 11

Tome Topple is back! I felt like it was only last week when I was doing Round 10 (and it was not going well thanks to the most epic reading slump) and so I’m glad for this to be coming up again and give me a second chance to knock some of these tomes off my TBR.

This round runs from the 9th to the 22nd May (Saturday until Friday) which I am bound to get wrong. The goal of this readathon is to read books over 500 pages but there are some optional prompts to work on. New rules are one book can count for a maximum of two prompts and there are now levels.

1-3 prompts: STUDENT
4-6 prompts: SCHOLAR
7-9 prompts: SAGE

  • Read the tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • Listen to an audiobook tome
  • Read a tome which is part of a series
  • Read a standalone tome
  • Read one tome
  • Read a tome featuring an AAPI main character and/or written by an AAPI author (for Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month)
  • Read a tome from a genre you don’t normally read
  • Read a tome on your TBR which has the most pages

Tome Topple Round 10 Wrap Up

This round of Tome Topple is over! It ran from the 7th to the 20th February and I absolutely did not manage to stay on top of it this time. I actually pushed the readathon until the 28th February because otherwise it would have been me saying ‘I started this one, I DNFed this one…’ Curse reading slumps.

That said, I enjoyed the two books I did follow and I am still enjoying the one I started but it suffered because I’m such a mood reader.

Tome Topple Round 10

Another round of Tome Topple and this one is a bingo challenge because it is Round 10! This is a readathon focused around reading big books (over 500 pages). The twitter is here. This round runs from 7th – 20th February.

There are nine total prompts and considering my failure to focus on reading big books during this readathon in the past, I’m going to list books for each prompt and that way I’m sure to read at least a couple of them.

  • Tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • Standalone tome
  • Tome from a genre you don’t normally read
  • Audiobook tome
  • Read 1 tome
  • The tome on your TBR with the most pages
  • Adult tome
  • Tome for Black History Month
  • Tome from a series

Tome Topple Round 9

Hey, it’s one of my favourite readathons! This readathon is all about reading books, so books over 500 pages and that’s the only ‘rule’ as such. This round runs from the 9th to the 22nd November. Which means it’s Saturday to Friday over two weeks, so be prepared for me to forget when this starts.

  • Read more than 1 tome
  • Read the tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • Read a tome that is part of a series
  • Read a tome in a genre you don’t usually read
  • Read an adult novel (aka not childrens, middlegrade, or YA)

Tome Topple Wrap Up

Tome Topple Readathon

Look at me in my TBR, being all optimistic about how I was going to do on this readathon. Did that happen? Not so much. However, I did get around to one tome in particular which has been on my TBR for ages so I’m glad about that. My TBR crashed and burned but two of these books have been on my TBR for ages and I’m glad to knock them off (plus they were both really good).

Actually all the books for this readathon turned out to be books I enjoyed when it came down to it, though some took a little longer than others.

Tome Topple Round 8

Tome Topple is also on Round 8! This readathon is focused on reading big books, so those books that are over 500 pages which intimidate you. I have so many books like this and this Tome Topple I am going to use the opportunity to knock some of these books off my TBR. Plus two of them are due back to the library at the end of April so I really have to get on them.

This round is running from the 13th – 26th April, so over two weeks. There is some slight overlap with Alphabethon but only one day so I’m not too worried.

The Goodreads group is here and the Twitter is here.

  • Read an adult book
  • Read a tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • Read a tome in a genre you don’t normally read
  • Read more than one tomes
  • Read a tome that is part of a series
